The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, commended the performance of Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo during his first one hundred days in office.
Senator Akume urged Governor Ododo to remain focused on delivering results and to disregard any detractors.
Senator Akume expressed his admiration for Governor Ododo’s commitment to prioritising the welfare of the people of Kogi State, which he identified as a critical characteristic of good governance.
He also extended his best wishes to Governor Ododo, recognising his potential as a rising leader in Nigeria.
During a courtesy visit to the SGF’s office, Senator Akume encouraged Governor Ododo not to be swayed by criticism, emphasising that his strong start bodes well for his tenure.
Governor Ododo, in turn, expressed gratitude for the support he has received from the SGF since assuming office.
Governor Ododo praised Senator Akume as a patriot with a commendable track record in public service, worthy of emulation by younger generations.
He sought the SGF’s assistance in advancing the development goals of his administration in Kogi State.
Accompanying Governor Ododo on the visit were the state commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Deedat Ozigi Salami, and the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Multilateral and Donor Funded Projects, Dr. Abdullahi Ozomata.
