Dr. Abdulaziz Adams, the Commissioner for Health in Kogi State, has called upon the CoPREP steering committee on COVID-19 and Lassa fever preparedness response projects to enhance the Public Health response to the ongoing pandemic.
This charge was delivered during a meeting with the committee members and some members of the state Executive council in Lokoja.
Dr. Abdulaziz Adams expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the response project thus far, emphasizing the crucial role of public response in achieving the committee’s desired goals.
He stressed the importance of the committee taking their assignment seriously, as the government is fully committed to addressing public health issues head-on.
Chief Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information, also spoke at the meeting, assuring the committee of his Ministry’s unwavering commitment to playing a key role in raising awareness and educating the public.
He reiterated the government’s determination to effectively disseminate the necessary information to mitigate public health concerns.
Prior to this, Hon. Mukadam Asiwaju Idris, the state Commissioner of Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, urged the committee to wholeheartedly implement the project with a strong sense of commitment, in order to achieve the purpose for which the committee was established.
