Corps members assigned to Kogi State are strongly advised to steer clear of individuals with questionable character both during and after their service year.

This guidance was imparted by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honorable Monday A. Anyebe, during the closing ceremony for the Twenty Twenty Four Batch A Stream One Corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Asaya, Kogi State.

Honourable Monday A. Anyebe emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance and being security conscious at all times.

He also stressed the need to avoid staying out late at night, refraining from unauthorized journeys, and steering clear of friends with questionable character.

Additionally, he cautioned against the use of social media for spreading fake news, rumours, and negativity, urging instead for the promotion of unity and peace within the state and society.

Furthermore, Honorable Monday A. Anyebe called upon the Corps members to uphold the values of the NYSC scheme, represent their families and the nation with pride and contribute positively to their primary assignments.

He assured them of the government’s commitment to ensuring their safety, highlighting Kogi State’s reputation for hospitality.

Honourable Monday A. Anyebe congratulated the Corps members on the successful completion of their educational journey and urged them to demonstrate discipline and dedication in their respective roles.

He expressed gratitude to the NYSC staff and management for their dedication to the orientation course, as well as to other collaborating agencies for their support in the development of the Corps members.
