The Kogi State Ministry of Health is set to forge a partnership with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) in order to reshape the narrative of success within the state health sector.
Dr. Abdulazeez Adams, the Commissioner for Health, expressed this intention during a meeting with members of the NTA Lokoja management team in his office.
Dr. Abdulazeez described the NTA as a prominent and esteemed television network, highlighting its extensive coverage as a valuable asset for collaboration within the state.
He emphasized that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is fully committed to strengthening and upholding the achievements of the previous administration in the health sector.
The Commissioner stressed the crucial role of human resources in advancing healthcare, assuring that additional medical personnel would be recruited to effectively manage the various health facilities established by the previous government.
He reiterated the importance of building upon the existing structures implemented by former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Dr. Abdulazeez commended Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his initiative in providing one hundred percent hazard allowances to incentivize health workers to remain in the state.
Earlier, Alhaji Yahaya Adams, the General Manager of NTA Lokoja, visited the Commissioner to extend congratulations on his appointment.
He expressed the organization’s readiness to collaborate with the Commissioner in realizing his vision for the state’s health sector.
Alhaji Yahaya Adams emphasized NTA’s unwavering commitment to serving the government and the people of Kogi State, highlighting their positive working relationship with the previous administration and urging its continuation.
