Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has been praised for his decision to provide bursary allowances for indigenous students of Kogi State.
Hon. Monday A. Anyebe, the State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development equally expressed his admiration for Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to youth empowerment.
He made these comments while meeting with the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Scholarship Board, Mr. Afolabi Joseph Raji, and his team at the Commissioner’s office in Lokoja.
Hon. Monday commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration for approving the payment of bursary allowances to indigenous students in tertiary institutions nationwide.
He emphasized that this initiative will alleviate financial burdens for parents and guardians.
The Commissioner highlighted the positive impact of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s support for the state’s development, particularly for the youth.
He urged the Kogi State Scholarship Board Team to work together cohesively and uphold integrity in their responsibilities.
Hon. Monday reiterated his commitment to collaborating with the Board to achieve the Governor’s objectives for students across the country.
He expressed gratitude to Chairman Afolabi Joseph Raji and his team for their visit and cooperation.
In response, Mr. Afolabi Joseph Raji, the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Scholarship Board, sought the Commissioner’s collaboration to fulfill their mandate effectively.
He emphasized that the bursary registration is exclusively for students of Kogi State origin in tertiary institutions.
