The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Kogi State, Hon. Monday Anyebe, has expressed the commitment of the present administration under Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to encourage youth programs.
Hon. Monday Anyebe made this statement during a familiarization visit to the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Lokoja.
He emphasized that under Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s leadership, corps members in the state will receive the necessary attention due to their crucial role in promoting unity and national integration.
The Commissioner assured the NYSC staff and corps members of his readiness to collaborate with them to ensure the effective delivery of the scheme in Kogi State.
Hon. Monday Anyebe called on the NYSC management and staff to view the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development as a big family, working together for the growth and development of the state.
Furthermore, the Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Pastor Mrs. M.A Williams, for her dedication to duty.
In her remarks, Pastor Mrs. Williams, the Kogi State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, appealed to the government for assistance in fencing the NYSC permanent orientation site at Asaya as it would ensure the safety and security of corps members during their orientation camp.
She described the Commissioner’s visit as unprecedented and urged him to continue his efforts towards youth development in the state.
