Kogi is one of the States with the fastest growth rate in the country in terms of Infrastructures be it in Education, Health, Security, Agriculture, and Information sectors amongst others.
The Commissioner of Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo Stated this while speaking at the symposium organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) with the Theme “A peep into Yahaya Bello’s seven years as Governor of Kogi State and the Implication for future Administration”
He that the Reference Hospital at Okene is a masterpiece and one of its kind in the country, adding that it is well equipped and can cater for the needs of Kogi people and the Nation at large.
Also speaking at the symposium, the President of the Nigerian Union of Journalist Comr. Chris Isiguzo says that the GYB Administration has made an impact on the lives of the people of Kogi State.
He pointed out that the Reference Hospital Okene, a world class health infrastructure in the country as a signature of the GYB Administration that would remain a positive reference for several years to come.
He also applauded the giant strides of the administration in the educational sector, stating that the sector has improved a lot, particularly Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara (CUSTECH) which he described as one of the fastest growing University in Nigeria.
Comr. Chris Isiguzo described the Ganaja Flyover bridge and several other people-oriented projects as an indication that here a government working for the people in Kogi State.
Delivery his paper titled “A Peep into Yahaya Bello seven years as Governor of Kogi State and Implications for future Administrations” by Okoliko Emmanuel, National Open University of Nigeria Abuja, urged Journalists to carry their works and constitutional responsibilities without fear or favour and to always keep government and their officials on their toes to deliver the goods of their office to the public.
